Dr. Mohamed Kalmoor brings three decades of distinguished service in the banking and financial sector to his role as General Partner and Chief Strategist at Masader Capital. His career represents one of the most accomplished trajectories in GCC banking — spanning central banking, investment finance, and commercial banking at the most senior levels.
Dr. Kalmoor joined the Central Bank of Oman in August 1978, rising through the institution over nearly two decades to serve as its Executive Vice President from 1995 until June 2000. In that role, he was a key architect of Oman's monetary policy framework and financial regulatory environment during a formative period in the country's economic development.
Following his tenure at the Central Bank, Dr. Kalmoor served as Managing Director of the Oman Investment and Finance Company, and subsequently as Deputy Chairman of Bank Sohar's Board Committee — further broadening his experience across investment finance and commercial banking governance.
