A general partner and Chief Strategist for Masader Capital, Dr. Kalmoor has been in the banking industry for three decades. He completed his graduate studies with honours from the University of Essex, UK, and holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of Colorado, USA.
He joined the Central Bank of Oman in August 1978 and served as its executive vice president from 1995 until June 2000.
He has been a member of several national committees, including the capital market authority’s board, the higher education council, the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation, and economic committees.
Before joining the Bank of Sohar, he was the managing director of Oman Investment and Finance Company.
Dr. Kalmoor previously served as the deputy chairman of Bank Sohar’s board committee.
Dr. Kalmoor was named “Best Banking CEO Oman 2014”.
